Be Still My Beating Heart Stoplight Dress
Yves Saint Larent created a "Heart Pop Art Dress" in the 1970's. This style was influenced by the American Pop-Art movement of the 1950's and 1960's including the works of Piet Mandrian and others. We see this across and informing fashion design and choices of the 1960's and 1970's as well as a rebirth in the 1980's and currently.
The dress advert is a Yves Saint Larent advertisement from the 1970's. The suit advert is contemporary from Moschino, designed by Jeremy Scott from the "Art is Love" collection. The pictured blazer was worn by Cate Blanchett & Nina Hoss during the press tour for the movie Tar in 2022.
I never set out to make a spin on either design and only discovered these designs after doing a google lens search of my own creation.
